Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. While at college Christopher Meloni was attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active in both films and television, but it was his character in the smaller screen which gave him popularity and much admirers. This is not surprising since he has been able grab audiences' attention by playing characters that are either one side of the law. In his very first TV project, he played a serial murderer. In later projects, he was the character of an NYPD investigator. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into an iconic feature and have helped to create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was named in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
